The internet has been filled with juicy gossip regarding the Ashley Madison data dump over the last 24 hours, and we at InterWorks are just as interested in a hot take as anyone else. I took some of the data dump and wanted to figure out where in the country cheaters were concentrated using Tableau. While there has been plenty of coverage on individuals within the data set, we’re not here to out anyone. So, we’re only looking at ZIP codes with over 500 people and have removed all Personally Identifiable Information from our analysis.
What we find is urban pockets along the East Coast and Chicago dominate these rankings. A lot of that looks to be from people using billing ZIP codes where their offices are and not their homes (good thinking guys!). Feel free to explore the data yourself and see how your hometown stacks up.
